The ONTORULE project is pleased to announce the final release of D6.2 Integrated Showcase.

The Showcase illustrates the ONTORULE platform as described in D6.1 Specification of the ONTORULE platform in concrete implementations of two major business scenarios from the steel and automotive industry.

Within ONTORULE we developed a new approach on how to implement applications using business knowledge in form of ontologies and business rules. The Showcase explains the high level workflow and the concrete implementation. The implemented components are instances of the platform’s abstract components demonstrating the feasibility of the theoretical approach. The business scenarios demonstrate the application of the implemented components within a concrete business case. The theoretical work provides theories that have been implemented only partially or not been implemented yet but are state-of-the-art candidates for implementations of abstract components.

The Integrated Showcase is available online. The full version of the Showcase, including IBM components protected by IP rights, is available on DVD and can be obtained from the partners.
