D2.3 Consistency Maintenance. Intermediate Report Download

One goal in WP2 is to investigate and develop techniques for detecting when the creation or

modification of rules and/or the ontology affects the overall consistency. Moreover, techniques

to help the business user or the rule/ontology manager repair detected inconsistencies, including

new capabilities such as testing and debugging across the rule/ontology boundary should be

investigated and developed. This is an intermediate report on consistency maintenance in which

we setup a general framework of consistency maintenance tasks, including definitions, detection,

and handling of consistency related problems. Methods for natural language and individual rule,

ontology, and combined formalisms are presented in terms of the framework.
