OntoStudio Rule Search

From ONTORULE Show Case

Jump to: navigation, search

Motivation

Having a complex ontology with rules one might easily get lost. Especially when changing the ontology there might be dependencies one needs to investigate before changing the ontology.

Description

To easily search for rules within OntoStudio that contain certain ontology elements the search functionality of OntoStudio has been extended.

OntoStudio rule search

The rule search allows searching for rules, constraints and queries that contain certain concepts or relations. One can select if the search should be case sensitive. One can also select if rules, constraints and/or queries are searched for. A working-set can be defined containing the ontology projects that are used in the search. Having posed the search the results will be shown. The results contain hyper-links. When clicking on them one will be led to the rule, constraint or query selected.
