Ontoprise OntoBroker	The OntoBroker is a comprehensive; extremely efficient and highly scalable Semantic Web middleware. It is the only commercial inference machine for processing ontologies that supports all of the W3C Semantic Web recommendations. These are OWL; RDF(S); SPARQL; RIF and ObjectLogic. Based on the OntoBroker ontology-based applications can be developed which offer the following advantages amongst others: A consistently defined meaning shared meaning (semantics) of information in a knowledge model The flexible mapping of complicated interrelationships The content integration of heterogeneous data sources Hence it is possible to model the expertise and the business logic separately from the execution logic. Users can adapt and enhance the logic flexibly. When used systematically ontologies form a conceptual semantic layer. Ontoprise OntoStudio	OntoStudio is the most widespread commercial modeling environment for creating and maintaining ontologies. It stands out due to its comprehensive functions in intuitive ontology modeling. OntoStudio is also able to import many structures; schemas and models. Some of OntoStudio’s most important functions are the mapping tool which can be used to match heterogeneous structures quickly and intuitively; the graphic rule editor which specialists can use to model complex correlations or the integrated test environment that assures the quality of the modeling at all times. With the help of OntoStudio several editors can use the OntoBroker Collaboration server to simultaneously create and enhance ontologies. The queries created can be exported as a Web service and integrated into any applications. Implemented Components

The following list contains the components implemented by ontoprise GmbH.

	Component Description
OntoStudio Graphical Rule Editor	The graphical rule editor of OntoStudio uses the UML paradigm for modelling rules. The intention was to use a paradigm many users are familiar with. In the following we describe the functionality of the rule editor. Further information can be found in the OntoStudio user manual.
OntoStudio HTML/RDFa support	The component imports RDF annotations from an HTML file. It preserves the dependency to the HTML file and shows the annotations within the HTML file. Having the ontology used for annotation one can link the RDFa import and the annotations and navigate between the two structures.
OntoStudio Rule Search	The extension of OntoStudio allows searching for rules; (ObjectLogic) constraints and (ObjectLogic) queries within OntoStudio. One defines the ontology terms that should occure within the rules to be searched for. The result will be a list of rules; constraints and queries that contain the terms. With this functionality it is easy to find rules that depend on certain ontology elements.
OntoStudio Validation	The component uses a set of ontologies and rules in order to identify anomalies within the ontology and rule combination. The component explains the anomalies found. Some of the anomalies might not be an issue and can be ignored. However; others might hint on a bad modelling paradigm.
Ontoprise OWLRL in ObjectLogic	Inferencing component on top of OntoBroker(ObjectLogic) implementing the OWL RL profile.
Ontoprise SKOS Vocabulary Management	Based on the vocabulary management SemanticXpress of ontoprise a SKOS vocabulary management has been realised. It allows importing and maintaining SKOS vocabularies.
