Paris13 SemEx
From ONTORULE Show Case
Motivation
SemEx is designed to help business analysts to build a set of candidate rules that form the business specification of a rule application. The obtention of the final form is a process supported by a set of transformations leading progressively from a textual form to a final clarified form. In SemEx, this final form of rules is based on SBVR Structured English although no compliance is checked or required. |
Description
The workflow in SemEx goes through three components: first the anotator, then alternatively the navigator and the rule editor.
The anotator inputs a plain text, linguistic and ontological knowledge, such as provided by Terminae, (already demonstrated in D1.1). and outputs a text anotated in RDFa.
The rule editor takes as input a text annotated (in RDFa) with respect to an ontology. It allows selecting text fragments as rules and transforming these fragments step by step into equivalent formulations in a more controlled language. This transformation process is aided again by the ontological and linguistic knowledge provided by Terminae A data structure keeps track of it for further maintenance needs.
The navigator is devoted to exploring the text, grouping differently fragments, linking one part to another along different criteria. It is not used to modify knowledge, but to help an in-depth analysis, which makes easier a correct interpretation of text, either for rule acquisition and transformation, or for contradiction detection.
